In the episode Treehouse of Horror XXXI, in the segment "Into the Homer-Verse", Homer Simpson was becoming different forms and one of them is SpongeBob.

In the episode "The Wife Aquatic", when Marge and Lisa go to an aquatic museum, there is a SpongeBob statue on top of an exhibit that reads, "The Science of SpongeBob". One of the mollusk photos on the bottom shows Patrick Star.

In the episode Fat Man and Little Boy, Krusty the Clown mentions a character named ScratchBob ItchPants while announcing Character shirts. It appears to be Itchy mixed with SpongeBob.

In the episode Treehouse of Horror XX, Frankenstein's monster was wearing a SpongeBob costume.

In the episode "Brick Like Me", Comic Book Guy says that Bart's mech is made out of the Batmobil, the Hobbit-Hole and SpongeBob LEGO Play-Sets.
